The medical team of Primary Care Health Clinic is led by Ndika Fomukong, FNP, PA-C, and Dr. Brownell Payne who are on a mission to provide high-quality medical treatments and services to the residents of the Pico-Union and West Adams neighborhoods of Los Angeles.

Ndika Fomukong, FNP, PA-C

Family Nurse Practitioner

Ndika Fomukong, PAC, currently works as a family nurse practitioner and physician assistant, at Primary Care Health Clinic and Saban Clinic in Los Angeles. These health institutions provide healthcare services in an underserved community.
Mr. Fomukong earned a Bachelor of Science in health sciences and his physician assistant and nurse practitioner licenses from Charles R Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles.

Brownell Payne, M.D.

Medical Doctor

Brownell H Payne, MD has practiced medicine in the Los Angeles area for 35 years. He studied Zoology and Pre-med, gaining a degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Payne attended graduate school at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, where he earned his medical doctor degree.

He completed an internship in straight Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Following this, Dr. Payne served two years in the United States Army as a combat physician with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

He brings a focus on helping patients with:
